A plain-English guide to how PromptPaddi handles your data and how your prompts reach AI tools. No jargon, no small print.

How PromptPaddi works — the short version

PromptPaddi is a prompt library, not an AI. When you tap a launch button, your adapted prompt is copied to your clipboard and the AI of your choice opens in a new browser tab. You paste, the AI responds, and PromptPaddi is not involved in that conversation at all.

What we collect and store

We store the minimum needed to run your account and improve the product. Here is the full list:

Account detailsYour name, email address, and a hashed version of your password (we never store your actual password).
Your chosen trackWhether you selected Teacher/Educator, Parent, Consultant, Home Educator, Lesson Teacher, Non-teaching staff, Educator-Entrepreneur, or Education Job Seeker.
Subscription infoYour tier (Starter, Pro, Consultant, or Enterprise), billing cycle, and Paystack reference codes. We do not store your card number or bank details — Paystack handles those securely.
Your favourites and flagsWhich prompts you have starred as favourites and any prompts you have flagged for review.
Usage activityWhich prompts you have viewed, and whether you have completed the onboarding walkthrough.
Saved search presetsIf you are a Pro user, any search filters you have saved for quick access.
FeedbackAny feedback or suggestions you send us through the app.
Age confirmationA simple yes/no record that you confirmed you are 18 or over. We do not collect your date of birth.

What we do NOT collect

This list matters just as much:

  • We do not store the prompts you adapt, copy or launch to AI tools.
  • We never see the AI's response to your prompt.
  • We do not collect personal data about your pupils, students or children.
  • We do not store your payment card or bank details.
  • We do not track you with advertising cookies.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers.

About the AI tools you launch into

When you launch a prompt, it goes to a third-party AI — such as ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Copilot (Microsoft), DeepSeek, Perplexity, Meta AI, Gamma, or InVideo AI. Each of these is a separate company with its own privacy policy and terms of service.

PromptPaddi does not control how these AI tools process your prompt. We strongly recommend reading the privacy policy of whichever AI you use most often, especially if you are using it for school-related work.

The key thing to understand: once you paste your prompt into an AI tool, that tool's privacy rules apply — not ours.

Keeping pupil data safe

This is the most important section on this page. AI tools are powerful, but they are not secure places to share personal information about children.

Golden rules

  • Never paste real pupil names into AI. Use [PUPIL] or initials instead. PromptPaddi's prompts are already written with these placeholders built in.
  • Never include medical or SEN details. If a prompt involves a pupil's health, learning difficulty or family situation, describe the scenario in general terms.
  • Never share safeguarding information with AI. Safeguarding decisions belong to your designated safeguarding lead and external agencies, not to a chatbot.
  • Strip personal data before sharing. If you share an adapted prompt with a colleague, check it for real names, addresses, or identifying details first.

PromptPaddi includes a placeholder scanner that warns you if your prompt appears to contain personal data. Please take those warnings seriously — they are there to protect you and the people you work with.

Our compliance commitments

PromptPaddi is designed with the following standards in mind:

  • NDPR/NDPA compliant — we follow the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation and the Nigeria Data Protection Act for all personal data we hold.
  • UNESCO AI-in-Education informed — our safe-use guidance draws on UNESCO's framework for using AI responsibly in education.
  • UK DfE guidance — our safety principles are informed by the UK Department for Education's guidance on generative AI in schools.

Your rights

You can ask us to do any of the following at any time, and we will respond within 30 days (as required by the NDPR):

  • Show you what data we hold about you.
  • Correct any data that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Export your data in a readable format.
